1 Description

The OSFP 400G LR4 Transceiver is a 400Gb/s Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable-double density (QSFP-DD) optical module designed for up to 10Km reach over SMF optical communication applications. Module converts 8 channels of 50Gb/s (PAM4) electrical input data to 4 channels of parallel optical signals, each capable of 100Gb/s operation for an aggregate data rate of 400Gb/s. It uses a built-in CWDM mux/demux and duplex LC connectors to aggregate 4 channels of 100G capacity each, using 1271 to 1331nm CWDM lasers.

Unit can reach up to 10Km distances on G.652 types of SMF and requires only 2 strands of SMF terminated with LC optical connectors.

The transceiver has been tested and found compatible on 400G QSFP-DD ready Ethernet switches from Arista, Cisco, Juniper, and Edge-Core. Transceiver operates into any 3rd party vendor equipment that follows the MSA open slot standard.
